The keynote speaker for the 2-day workshop was Mr. Jerry Thomas, a specialised ethical hacker from Skynet Security Solutions. We had an intelligent audience more than 100 in number from our college as well as from other colleges.

The event started with the felicitation ceremony. The guest speaker was felicitated by Prof. Nilesh Rathod, ABIT Convenor.

On Day 1, the guest speaker started with introduction of ethical hacking, its importance and simple measures an individual can take to prevent his/her data from getting hacked. Then, he briefly explained about frauds, the reason they occur, and the ways in which we can check whether our data has been leaked or not.  This was followed by a demonstration of a SQL injection attack over different sites. The session ended with a brief explanation on virtualisation, and a live demonstration of hacking a mobile phone using virtual box, the required commands and the terminal.

On Day 2, the session began with explanation of all the commands in detail, which were discussed in the previous session to hack an android phone. Next, the guest speaker took a session on Windows hacking followed by the demonstration of the same. Further, he briefly explained about various attacks, like Phishing, Steganography, E-mail Spoofing, Ransomware and also mentioned measures for protection from such attacks. The session ended with a Vote of Thanks by Prof. Nilesh Rathod to the guest speaker, followed by a photo session. Thus, the event ended on a happy and positive note.
